Good Evening Cimarron Families! This is your Proud Principal, Mrs. Rivers, with the announcements for the Week of December 9th-13th. Winter Academy is next week on December 16th - 18th and our Cimarron scholars are invited to attend 122nd Street Elementary School. It’s not too late to register, paper applications are available in our main office. This week starts day #6 of our 11-Day Super Attendance Challenge, don’t forget, day #11 is January 6th, 2025!!
As a reminder, Cimarron is a CLOSED campus. This means that before and after school, students must be dropped off/picked-up at the gate. No one is allowed on campus, unless they sign-in and get a yellow Visitor’s Pass at the Main Office. We know this may cause some inconvenience however it is necessary, and we appreciate your support in following this new school safety policy.
Monday, December 9:
- School hours are 8:02-2:25
- Breakfast in the Classroom begins and is the first 20 minutes of the day, 8:02-8:22
- 9:00 a.m. PSW, Mr. McCloud - Parent Workshop on Grief in Parent Center
Tuesday, December 10:
- School hours are 8:02-1:25
- Breakfast in the Classroom begins and is the first 20 minutes of the day, 8:02-8:22
Wednesday, December 11:
- School hours are 8:02-2:25
- Breakfast in the Classroom begins and is the first 20 minutes of the day, 8:02-8:22
Thursday, December 12:
- School hours are 8:02-2:25
- Breakfast in the Classroom begins and is the first 20 minutes of the day, 8:02-8:22
- 1:00pm – Parent Showing: Soulful Sounds of the Season Holiday Program
- Parents may park on both sides of the streets directly surrounding the school campus
- Parents may enter/exit the auditorium from the front of the school, if you need to enter campus, you MUST sign-in and receive a yellow visitor’s pass from the main office
Friday, December 13: Minimum Day Schedule
- School hours are 8:00-12:48
- Friday Morning Assembly-to attend, sign-in at the main office and get a Visitor’s Pass
- Breakfast in the Classroom is served after the assembly
Saturday, December 14:
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd grade to Disney on Ice – 12:00 Campus Open, 12:30 Board Buses, 1:00 Buses leave
- If you have applied to be a volunteer, two options for the Mandatory Orientation are 9:00am or 4:00pm on Thursday, December 12th in the Parent Center. Contact Ms. Gonzales for questions.
Looking Ahead:
- December 16-January 3, 2025 – Winter Break
- Monday, January 6, 2025 – Return to Cimarron/Day #11 of Attendance Challenge
- Monday, January 20 – MLK Holiday
